--- title: "St. Nikolaus city church" url: "https://charlie.aachen-tourismus.de/en/poi/st-nikolaus-city-church" description: "Since its consecration in 1327, 'St. Nikolaus City Church' has experienced numerous upheavals, from the city fire of the 17th century to the destruction of the 20th century. It has been renovated time and again, yet has remained a place where people can express their search for meaning. Today, it is open to visitors to the city as an ecumenical city church. Inside, you will encounter an atmosphere that oscillates between tranquillity and urban life. The clear lines make the space seem vast and allow you to take a step back for a moment. It is a place that allows questions to be asked while also conveying a sense of security." language: "en" type: "Place" breadcrumb: "Root > Aachen > Special > Destination.Data Details > Poi" --- ShareBookmark Bookmark St. Nikolaus city church ======================== - Church 'Citykirche St. Nikolaus' Aachen: a quiet space in the heart of the city Since its consecration in 1327, 'St. Nikolaus City Church' has experienced numerous upheavals, from the city fire of the 17th century to the destruction of the 20th century.
