Der Muslim und die Jüdin

Lecture/reading
The author reads from his book "Der Muslim und die Jüdin" - "The story of a rescue in Berlin". The book is based on a true story. During the Second World War, a Muslim man from Egypt living in Berlin saves the life of a Jewish woman by tricking the Nazis and becoming part of the German resistance against Nazi terror. The Egyptian constantly balances on a fine line between subversion and adaptation. It is a story that gives courage and hope in times of hatred.

After the reading, there will be an opportunity to chat in a convivial atmosphere. The Frankenberg bookshop will be offering books for sale on site, which can be signed by the author afterwards.
