Fonte Vivace
In spring, historic sounds return to Aachen with “Fonte Vivace”, the festival for early music. Concerts featuring music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque era are presented in selected churches, halls and atmospheric venues across the city and the surrounding region. International ensembles meet award-winning newcomers and regional musicians, bringing historical sources back to life through informed performance practice. The name says it all: “Fonte vivace” stands for a living musical source, vibrant, curious and deeply rooted in history.
