Nature Walk through the Soers and along the Wildbach

Guided tour/tour
A nature tour of the Aachen Ökologie-Zentrum
The guided tour of the Aachen Ecology Center takes you into a landscape that has retained its original character between meadows, old watercourses and quiet paths. The Soers forms the northern part of the Aachen basin and still shows today how closely nature and water management are interwoven. On your walk, you will come across visible and hidden structures that tell of former uses. The torrent accompanies you as a quiet, constant companion and reminds you that its water once powered mills and later industry. The mixture of natural tranquillity and living history gives this hike its special charm.

You walk for a few hours at your own pace and see what you find. In between, there will be plenty of time for a chat and a picnic!

Meeting point: Corner of Rütscher Straße / Nizzaallee (near the "towers")
