Under the motto “Alliances,” the Cultural Affairs Office organizes a large photography festival every two years. Over a period of four weeks, around 20 exhibitions with different thematic focuses are presented at various locations throughout the city region. The exhibitions are complemented by a wide-ranging supporting program featuring talks, workshops, performances, and musical contributions.

Admission to the exhibitions and events is free (with the exception of the Suermondt-Ludwig Museum and the Fotomuseum aan het Vrijthof).
