Reading afternoon for children

Lecture/reading

A “wildly funny” afternoon of reading aloud in Aachen Cathedral

The animals are on the loose at the zoo! And on the day of school enrolment, it's all go: gorilla boy Gonzo can't find his parents in the hustle and bustle, skunk Skottie is accidentally put in the penguin class, and giraffe Gino with the short neck shines in the limbo dancing competition. The forgetful lemur Director Lernegern has to remember all 1101 things so that he doesn't forget anything important on this busy day...

This is the initial scenario of the children's book "Die höchstfamose Zoo-Schule" by Jochen Till, which was awarded the German Children's Book Prize in 2023. The author himself is also an award-winner and was voted Reading Artist of the Year in 2024.

The event is aimed specifically at children of primary school age. School classes and families are invited.

Please note:
On the initiative of organizer Ute Ketteniß, the author will be reading one day earlier, on Saturday, 15 November, at 4 pm, in the Corpus Christi Church, Düppelstraße 21-23.
This reading is also free of charge for guests of all ages.
