Park/gardens
The Kennedypark in Aachen covers an area of around 52,000 square metres.

The park, which is named after US president John F. Kennedy, was purchased by the City of Aachen in 1961. The former military base was converted into parkland. Today, eight remaining columns from the “yellow barracks” form the entrance area to the park. There are playgrounds for children and a skating facility.
