Kennedy Park Aachen – Vast green space with traces of the past
Between densely built-up streets, Kennedy Park opens up as a spacious green area, one of the most important recreational areas in the eastern district. In the 1960s, a sprawling park was created on the former military site, named in honour of John F. Kennedy. Eight columns of the so-called Yellow Barracks now mark the entrance and remind us of the site's former use. On the paths, you will encounter a peaceful everyday atmosphere where families, walkers and neighbours mingle. Play and exercise areas enliven the park, while the open lawns provide space for moments of quiet reflection.
