The Aachen Jumping Youngstars is a show jumping competition for young riders in the age categories pony riders (up to 16 years), children (up to 14 years), juniors (up to 18 years) and young riders (up to 21 years). Around 200 athletes are expected with 300 horses.
The Aachen Jumping Youngstars will be organised for the 34th time in 2025. It was founded in 1991 by former Aachen Nations' Cup rider Willibert Mehlkopf, who named the show after his successful horse Salut: Salut-Festival. The Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV) is organising the show for the 19th time in 2025. Some well-known riders, who have long since made the leap into the professional ranks, competed in Aachen in their youth, such as Marcus Ehning, Christian Ahlmann and Toni Hassmann. The athletes compete for around 40,000 euros in prize money in around 20 competitions, the total budget (Aachen Jumping Youngstars and Aachen Dressage Youngstars) amounts to around 70,000 euros. 75 employees work for the show.
