The waste management department of Aachen's municipal utility company is organising a big Christmas decoration swap. Interested visitors can swap their discarded Christmas decorations with others in the rotunda at the Elisenbrunnen from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
Any items related to Christmas will be accepted, for example nativity figures, Christmas tree baubles, unused candles, fairy lights, nutcrackers or other illuminated decorations. The prerequisite is that the decorative items are undamaged and in working order. Fairy lights and illuminated decorations can be tested on site.
Registration is not necessary. Anyone wishing to take part in the swap can simply bring their Christmas items to the Elisenbrunnen during the campaign period.
