In the footsteps of Wassermann, Pau and Kaiser Friedrich Park

Guided tour/tour
Atmospheric walk around Kaiser Friedrich Park
The walk begins at the imposing Tritonenbrunnen fountain with its spouting water sprite. You will learn about the sources of the Pau, its course today and in earlier times and the significance this stream has had for Aachen over the centuries.
Nearby is the popular Kaiser-Friedrich-Park with some unusual plants and facilities and embedded in it is the Hangeweiher, into which the Pau and two other tributaries flow. The Pau disappears into the Aachen underground at its outlet and you can only guess at its course as you walk through the park.

The walk takes about 2 hours and is easy to manage.
