Lionel Hampton Big Band featuring Jason Marsalis

An evening dedicated to the classic big band sound: the internationally acclaimed "Lionel Hampton Big Band" is coming to the main stage of Theater Aachen. The traditional ensemble, which carries on the legendary spirit of jazz pioneer Lionel Hampton, is stopping off in a city that is more than just a tour stop for Christian Fabian, musician in the band and Grammy® 2025 nominee - he spent his school years in Aachen.
The band is one of the most renowned formations of contemporary swing and has been thrilling audiences for decades with its unique blend of precision, passion and musical excellence. Their repertoire transforms jazz roots into exciting new melodies. The arrangements are full of energy, the solos virtuoso - an acoustic experience at the highest level.
