Open Monument Day

Discover Aachen’s hidden treasures and famous landmarks during Open Monument Day. Under the theme “NetzWERKE. Monuments & Infrastructure – Historic Buildings That Move and Connect Us,” these monuments are opening their doors—from the Cathedral and City Hall to hidden gems like the Burtscheider Heimatfreunde Archive or the Kerstenschen Pavilion. Take a look inside the former St. Paul’s Church, which houses the diocesan archive; delve into border stories at the Customs Museum; or get to know Aachen’s most futuristic landmark, the University Hospital, in a whole new light.
