The musical tells the romantic and tragic story of Shakespeare in a special combination of historical costumes and language with powerful rock and pop songs.

It is a summer in 16th century Verona. Young Romeo and Juliet meet and fall in love at a masked ball. But their families, the Montagues and the Capulets, are enemies. After their secret wedding, the conflict escalates and Romeo is banished. In order to escape with her lover, Juliet fakes her death. But then everything turns out very differently than expected.
