Stolz und Vorurteil (oder so)

Jane Austen meets pop culture, love chaos meets emancipation. All of this is told and sung from the perspective of the snappy maids who no longer want to stand in the shadows.

England, early 19th century: Mrs. Bennet is urgently looking for wealthy bachelors for her five daughters. The modest family fortune can only be inherited in the male line. The hoped-for salvation comes in the form of Mr. Bingley, a new and very wealthy neighbor. The young women are to take their chance at the big dance ball. But when the proud and enigmatic Mr. Darcy also turns up, the love carousel begins to spin.

The play takes a critical and surprisingly modern look at social dependencies and female self-determination.
