An evening of live journalism featuring a lecture and discussion

At "Words and Sounds", fact-based, independent reporting meets art and culture. The summer 2026 edition of this live journalism series, which was created by the two Aachen journalists Arndt Lorenz and Jens Tervooren, is taking place for the second time in cooperation with the vhs Aachen. The focus is on sports journalism - in keeping with the World Equestrian Games. The aim is to shed light on the job between the hype and the sidelines, as well as the excesses of racism in fan culture and on the pitch. The continuing lack of acceptance of women in sports journalism is also a topic. Words and Sounds" always looks for regional approaches and holds discussions that are currently taking place in the immediate neighborhood. Music and good drinks included.
