When his mother falls ill, Jakob takes over the vegetable stall at Aachen market without further ado. With Aunt Hazzor and Schängche at his side, everything seems to be going well – until a strange old woman with a long nose appears. Jakob refuses to carry the selected cabbages home for her. A decision that has unforeseen consequences. Shortly afterwards, Jakob disappears without a trace. And he is not the only one: the princess is also missing. Unrest grows in Aachen. Schängche sets off with Nieres and Veries to find the missing persons.
