Museum/Exhibition
Since 1958 the ‘House Monheim‘ in the historical city centre of Aachen...

... has been an exhibition place of particularly impressive upper middle-class cultivation of home décor. The rooms form a harmonious ensemble of various interior design styles from Rococo to the Biedermeier era. In a large room display cabinet a selection of magnificent silver utensils of the 18th century are e.g. presented. More practical equipment in the kitchen – coffee roaster, coffee grinder and porcelain tableware – shows that luxury drinks as coffee, tea and chocolate also found their way into middle-class life.

The impressive ceremonial hall can also be hired for special celebrations, such as weddings.
