Kerstenscher Pavillon
On the south-eastern slope of the Lousberg stands the Kerstensche Pavilion, a silent testament to Baroque garden culture. It was originally designed in the 18th century by Johann Joseph Couven for a wealthy family from Aachen. The small garden house was part of a private estate before being moved to its current location at the beginning of the 20th century. The open staircase, wrought-iron railing and wall fountain have been part of the structure since that time. When you reach the pavilion, you are greeted by a view of the city and the countryside that combines the elegance of the architecture with the tranquillity of the Lousberg.
