Lousberg water tower
The Belvedere water tower, a striking reinforced concrete structure designed by Wilhelm K. Fischer, has stood on the Lousberg plateau since the 1950s. Its clear form still acts as a calm focal point above the gentle lines of the hill. The tower tells the story of technical modernity and, at the same time, the long history of the Lousberg as a viewing point and recreational area in Aachen. When you reach the top, a wide view of the city and countryside opens up, allowing you to experience the special character of this place. Today, the tower is privately owned and used for a variety of purposes, making the historic building a living part of modern Aachen.
