Archimedean sandbox

Once again this year, the Archimedean sandpit invites young and old explorers to dig and linger. In the middle of the Katschhof, deckchairs invite you to relax. Meanwhile, a special building project is underway right next to the sandpit: during the vacation games, children are building a sustainable tiny house that generates energy with the help of the sun. They will be supported by educators and experts from Bleiberger Fabrik and FH Aachen.

The Archimedean Sandbox is a project by Future Lab Aachen.

Archimedes Party on August 1, 2025:
During the day (starting at 3 p.m.), young children can pour concrete themselves with the RWTH Institute for Solid Construction: After a short drying period, the raw material is turned into colorful refrigerator magnets to take home. The rolling school laboratory exploregiomobil once again invites everyone to get to the bottom of physical phenomena and try out all kinds of things.
And for the grown-ups? Starting at 5 p.m., DJ Chris Brid will be playing and transforming the Katschhof into a beach party – delicious drinks and snacks will also be available.
