Charaktersache

Six characters loosely based on Elias Canetti. Satirical and exaggerated to the extreme – Elias Canetti's “Der Ohrenzeuge – Fünfzig Charaktere” (The Ear Witness – Fifty Characters) inspired the two artists Bianka Elberfeld (acting, accordion, harmonica, melodica, vocals) and Huda Knobloch (viola, funnel violin, triangle, vocals) to create a musical theater piece with six selected characters that encourages self-reflection. Cynical and with a large dose of mischief, “the ear witness” and “the high roller” enter the stage, while “the self-sacrificer” and “the tablecloth roll” eke out their tragic existence.
