Concept Exhibition - Paradoxe Rückwirkungen

Starting Tuesday, 2 June 2026, the Belgian Customs House at the Köpfchen border crossing becomes a space for reflection between nature, industry and perception. In his work in progress exhibition “Paradoxe Rückwirkungen”, artist Holger Vanicek explores opposites that appear contradictory at first glance and thereby open new ways of seeing. Based on observations of industrial sites reclaimed by nature, he creates an installation of found objects, sculptures and spatial interventions. The historic building is deliberately integrated, inviting visitors to question familiar categories and engage with subtle, poetic interactions in a place where borders have always been ambiguous.
