Criminal Banquet at the CHIO 1927

Since 2014, the “Criminal Banquet” series has brought stories from Aachen’s past to life through entertaining dinner theatre. This production takes audiences into the world of equestrian sport and high society in the 1920s. Set in 1927, on the eve of the first “Grand Prix of Aachen”, district administrator Herrmann Pütz invites patrons and sponsors of the local horse show to a festive gathering at the Couven House. Throughout the evening, guests become entangled in intrigues, wagers and personal dramas. When a murder occurs, their detective skills are put to the test. The experience is accompanied by elegant salon music performed live on flute and piano.
