- In his quartets, Schumann remains entirely classical in form, his great role model being Mendelssohn.
Sunday, 14.06.20 (4 pm): Last works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonin Dvorak
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Quartet in F major KV 590
- The last of the three "Prussian" quartets, inspired by Mozart's visit to the Prussian king in Potsdam
- Antonin Dvorak, Quartet No. 13 in G major op. 106
- After his return from America, Dvorak feels highly inspired and writes his last two quartets in quick succession, in which he concentrates all his artistry.
