Twilight hike
When the day recedes and the light becomes softer, a special atmosphere begins in the forest. On the twilight hike at the Ecology Center Aachen, you will experience how the forest awakens in this quiet time in between. On narrow paths, you will get to know the tracks of foxes and badgers and discover mysterious places. With every step, your gaze adapts to the fading light and sounds become clearer. The walk together invites you to perceive nature differently and to consciously experience the atmosphere as night falls.
Please note:
Please note:
- Sturdy shoes are required as some paths are uneven
- Bring a flashlight or headlamp
- Take a small filled drinking bottle with you
- warm and rainproof clothing (depending on the weather)
It is partly uphill and over roots and steps, i.e. a reasonably good level of fitness is required. There are breaks to listen, look and marvel. As the animals are very shy in the evening, you have to be very quiet to spot them, i.e. there is no guarantee that you will actually see them. But you can find their hiding places!
