'Blausteinsee': A transformed landscape of calm and natural beauty

'Blausteinsee' reflects how land can be reshaped over time. Where open-cast mining once dominated, a quiet lake now fills the landscape. Paths lead through a green belt that alternates between open shoreline and sheltered corners. The lake was formed in the former “Zukunft” mine and gradually filled from the mid-1990s. Today it offers a peaceful setting, inviting visitors to observe nature or simply rest their gaze on the gentle movement of the water.
