Ludwig Forum Aachen: contemporary art in a former factory

At the Ludwig Forum, you can encounter international contemporary art in a building that formerly served as an umbrella factory. The collection of Peter and Irene Ludwig forms the core of the museum and displays works ranging from pop art to photorealism, as well as pieces from Europe and beyond. The tour offers a broad overview of artistic developments since the 1960s, which are reinterpreted here in changing exhibitions. The mixture of industrial architecture and experimental art creates an atmosphere in which the past and present enter into dialogue with each other. The Forum is a place where ideas condense and art becomes a mirror of its time.

Special offer for groups: To the museum together in the morning
The Ludwig Forum is also open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for booked groups and by prior arrangement for public guided tours and courses.
