The Neue Aachener Kunstverein is one of the younger art associations in Germany and demonstrates how lively the discussion of contemporary art is in Aachen. Since its foundation in the mid-1980s, the NAK has been presenting the work of local and international artists, thus continuing the experimental tradition that has been evident in Aachen since the Fluxus Festival of the 1960s. Exhibitions, discussions and temporary projects make the venue a meeting place for anyone interested in current artistic issues. When you visit the rooms, you experience art not as a finished product, but as an open process that encourages further reflection.
