Museum/Exhibition
The Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum is the "salon" of the people of Aachen and offers a high range of art!

The museum shows art from the antique to the classic modern periods. The Medieval sculpture collection is one of the highlights of the museum, however. The Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum has donations from the citizens of Aachen and many other donors to thank for its extensive collection. Since 1901, it has been housed in the former Villa Cassalette. The museum is named after the three major donors, Barthold Suermondt and Irene and Peter Ludwig. As well as numerous temporary exhibitions, the museum also offers an extensive education programme.
