At the Suermondt-Ludwig Museum, you will encounter works of art that have a special effect in a magnificent 19th-century city palace. The Cassalette House provides an elegant setting for a collection whose roots date back to 1883. Of particular note is the important collection of medieval sculptures, which is one of the most significant of its kind in Germany. It is complemented by panel paintings from Germany and the Netherlands, including works by Aelbrecht Bouts and Joos van Cleve.
