The theatre first performed in public in 1921 and has been housed in the Barockfabrik factory building since 1982. The city puppet theatre is one of the most important places where the local Aachen dialect, “Oecher Platt”, is kept alive. From children's plays with just a small amount of Öcher Platt to plays for adults with a large share of the dialect, or events where only high German is spoken, the performances by this cult theatre troupe delight audiences with their flair and charm.
