With the nationally significant Aachen Bach Festival, initiated by Johannes Geffert in 1974, the Aachen Bach Society, together with the Protestant parish as organizer, sets an artistic focus at the end of each year. The concert series places the works of Johann Sebastian Bach in a music-historical and extra-musical context. With baroque and chamber music, cantatas and oratorios, organ music and orchestral concerts, jazz improvisation and avant-garde, the Aachen Bach Days offer a challenging and varied musical program every year. Further information can be found here.
Advance booking is possible at Musikhaus Hogrebe (Großkölnstraße 45, Tel. 0241 36329) or online at www.bachverein.de (plus advance booking fee). A remaining contingent may be available at the box office (up to 15 minutes before the concert begins).
