The Eifelsteig

The Eifelsteig trail begins in Kornelimünster, just outside Aachen, and takes you across the Eifel region to Trier. Over more than 300 kilometres, you will experience tranquil moors, sparse forests and rocky valleys. The motto ‘Where rock and water accompany you’ aptly describes the character of the trail. Particularly impressive are the passages where the terrain changes repeatedly and you can feel how nature and history intersect in this region. The trail acts like a ribbon that brings different landscapes together and gives you space to experience the Eifel step by step.
