Fountain
The Seepferdchenbrunnen (seahorse fountain) in Burtscheid graces the end of the pedestrian zone.

Originally, the sea horses were created by Josef Zeller for the Elisenbrunnen fountain rotunda in Aachen, which was rebuilt after the Second World War. The fountain originates from a design by the Aachen architect Gerhard Thomalla, and the fountain basin was created by Ewald Mies, a brother of Ludwig Mies-van-der-Rohe. However, during the 1970s, the fountain was relocated to the Kapellenstraße street in Burtscheid.
