The thermal springs are among the city's oldest natural treasures. Since Roman times, people have been using the warm springs, which, with temperatures of over seventy degrees in some cases, are among the hottest in Central Europe. Around the springs, there is a special feeling of closeness to the past. The water emerges at various points in Aachen and Burtscheid and continues to shape the cityscape to this day.
