Take a journey with the historic Selfkantbahn railway. Smell the steam from the locomotive engine and feel the wind in your hair! The Selfkantbahn used to connect the region around Selfkant and its neighbouring areas. However, as roads began to take over during the 1970s, the routes were gradually closed down, and only a partial section of the track was saved by the local historic railway association, the “Interessensgemeinschaft Historischer Schienenverkehr e.V.”. Thanks to them, it is still possible to experience a journey with the historic narrow-gauge locomotives and carriages today.
