Former town hall
The former town hall of Kornelimünster dates back to 1830 and, with its light-coloured façade, appears like a tranquil anchor in the historic townscape. Today it houses a savings bank branch, but the history of the building remains present. On the outer wall, you will find a flood mark commemorating the year 1906, when the Inde river burst its banks and severely affected the town. Standing here, it is easy to imagine how closely Kornelimünster has always been connected to its river. Nestled among the narrow streets, the building blends into the town's established structure and quietly tells the story of public life in times gone by.
