Narrowest building
In the middle of Benediktusplatz, one house immediately catches the eye because it seems almost too narrow for the alley. At only about 2.42 metres wide, it is the narrowest house in Kornelimünster and nestles tightly between its larger neighbours. The façade tells of a time when every available space was used, yet there was still enough room to create a home. Standing in front of it, you can feel the special atmosphere of the old town centre, where narrow streets and historic buildings form a harmonious pattern. The small house seems to hint at how resourceful previous generations were in making the most of the opportunities available to them.
