The white building completed in 1830 is the former Kornelimünster town hall.

Today, the building is used as a branch of the Sparkasse bank. There is a mark on the façade to show where the waters of the river Inde reached in 1906, when they flooded the town. The Inde river, whose name can be traced back to Celtic times, and which means “swelling river”, did full justice to its name that year.
