Rahe Castle – a country estate between water, time and memories
Rahe Castle, whose roots date back to the 13th century, is located in the Laurensberg district of Aachen. Originally mentioned as a moated castle, it was converted into an elegant country estate in the 18th century. Its location by the water still gives the building a tranquil aura today. Walking through the castle grounds, you can sense something of the history of the old estate, which once belonged to families such as the von Roide and van der Linden. Despite its long past, the complex has an astonishingly light feel to it. Here, rural origins and prestigious architecture come together in quiet naturalness.
