Westpark
Westpark is one of those places where Aachen's past quietly blends into the present. Where a zoological garden was established at the end of the 19th century, there is now an open park landscape. Some traces of this period have survived, including the pond, which is a reminder of the early grounds. After the Second World War, the old buildings disappeared and the area developed into a relaxing city park, ideal for walks, picnics or simply a moment away from the streets. When you linger here, you can feel the tranquillity of a park that has seen a lot and is now a gentle transition between residential areas and green open space.
