Kaiser-Friedrich-Park

Park/gardens
The Kaiser-Friedrich-Park is located in the best residential area of Aachen, the “Südviertel”.
The remains of the former customs building at the main entrance to the Kaiser-Friedrich-Park can still be admired, with its two large blue stone pillars. The central feature of this beautiful park is the pond, known as the “Hangeweiher”.  You can enjoy a peaceful picnic on the banks of the pond, or cross it with pedal boat, or jog around its edge. The end of the Kaiser-Friedrich-Park is adorned with the “Tritonenbrunnen” fountain, built in 1923 by Carl Burger. The fountain is affectionately called the “Wassermann” (water man) by Aacheners.
