Kaiser-Friedrich-Park
Between old trees and the tranquil waters of the Hangeweiher pond lies a park that has been one of Aachen's favourite retreats for over a hundred years. Built between 1907 and 1910 in the style of an English landscape park, it still exudes an open, peaceful atmosphere today. At the entrance, the remains of a former customs house are a reminder of times gone by. As you linger on the shore or follow the gentle curves of the paths, you can feel how nature and the city merge into one another. The water forms the centrepiece and invites you to escape everyday life for a moment.
