Kreislauf des Geldes monument (money cycle)

The fountain on Münsterplatz depicts a tranquil scene showing how people deal with money. The metal figures represent attitudes such as greed, avarice, generosity and begging. Since 1976, warm thermal water has been circulating in the basin, which also moves in winter, thus conveying the flow of money into the picture. When you stand in front of it, it seems as if you are seeing a moment of everyday observations captured. Each figure seems to act on its own thoughts, transforming the square into a small mirror of human motives.
